the intendant was the chief administrator and made sure the colony was in good shape. this person also tried to seek new ways to exploit the country for resources for France he also tried to make it more dependent on its own

the bishop of Quebec was the person who represented the Catholic Church. at that time the church played an important role they helped with things like spiritual and moral guidance but the church did more than just that they funded lots of important places like orphanages, schools, and hospitals.

many soldiers came to new France to protect them from the Haudenosaunee and the British.Also the king wanted them to settle in New France
lots of men that went into military only did it because they needed to make a living and it gave people a way to change.
