Farmers
Habitants

Habitants lived and farmed on land the landlords gave them yet they still had to build their own houses, flour mill, and churches.

Seigneurs
Seigneurs owned the land that the habitats lived on. Seigneurs got the land from the king and queen of France and they were usually very rich men and women.
Seigneurs hired habitants to farm the land but they had to build there own houses and fluormill. In exchange for living on their land they have to give a few days of labour to them.

The Bishop represented The Catholic Church and controlled most schools, hospitals, and Orphanages.

Soldiers were the people who protected New France From the British and the Haudenosounee. The men were Controlled and directed by the Governer.

In Quebec there were many merchants such as Blacksmiths, Shoemakers, Bakers, and Butchers.
Fur Traders

Fur traders got goods from France and Traded them with the first nation such as the Innu, the Annishiba, and the Quendat.
