Layers of the Meninges
The three layers of tissue that cover and loss of balance. Membranes located between bone and soft tissue of nervous system.
Outer Layer= Dura Mater tough, white dose connective tissue, contains many blood vessels.
Middle Layer= Arachnoid mater very thin, lack blood vessels
Inner Layer= Pla Mater covers every fold of brain. Attached to surface of the brain, thin contains many blood vessels and nerves

Tissues
-
-
Neuroglia cells that support neurons. They do not relay electrical impulses. Also try do not lose ability to divide

Neurotransmitters
Binds with receptor on the postsynaptic neuron's cell membrane. At least 30-50 different neurotransmitter identified
Synaptic end bulbs may contain 2 or 3 different neurotransmitters. Needs to be removed or will influence nerve idenfiniely
Reflex Arc
Preprogrammed rapid predictable involuntary response to a stimuli. Functions to prevent damage to the body. May be learned i.e. bracing when driving
