Providing extra breaks, the student with autism will need a frequent breaks to self regulate themselves, their behavior and their emotions.
Sensory objects: are objects the student can touch like sand, soap, it is good to develop since autism is also known as a sensory processing disorder.
de-escalation room or quiet area: students with ASD after awhile might need a break in a quiet area or a whole other room, the quietness is good for them, since even the sound of a pencil can be overstimulating to students with ASD.
