- Children will watch a video about the environment that is affecting sea creatures. (P) After the field trip, children will share their experiences and reflect on both the video and the field trip. (R) Children listen and appreciate their peers sharing on their experiences from the field trip and opinion about the environment issues (A) Children can discuss and brainstorm unique ideas on how to protect the environment of the sea creatures. (I) Children ask about how they can play a part in protecting the environment of the sea creatures (S) Children engage in class activity to design a protect the sea creatures poster. (E). (PRAISE)
- Field Trip to Sea Aquarium: Compare & Contrast
(DOW, SED)
- Children to draw out the life cycle of different sea creatures (A&C, DOW)
- Children to share about their experience during the field trip; favourite sea creature they saw etc. (L&L, SED)
- Match the body parts to the different sea creatures with the body parts provided and write the functions of each body parts (L&L, DOW)
- Children to role-play as the sea creatures provided to them with stating facts they’ve learned about those creatures (SED, DOW)
- Create a graph - 'My Favorite Sea Creatures' based on the class individual children’s favourite sea creatures. (NUM, SED)
- Children to make sea creatures using recyclable materials (A&C, MSD, DOW)
- Storytelling with a book about sea creatures, the book will also have different varieties of images of sea creatures. Children to will then draw any sea creatures they had seen and remembered from the book (L&L, A&C)
- Children can fish out fishes that labels the 3 basic shape names and shape cut outs- square, circle and triangle. After fishing out the name of the shapes, the children can also fish out the shapes. (L&L, NUM)
