Deafness
Children born with unilateral deafness tend to have developmental speech delays. They may find it harder to concentrate when they go to school. Social activities may be more challenging than it is for children with no hearing problems.(Adam Felman, 2018, ).

On the level of Parent/Teacher relations
The teacher will have prepared a clear explanation of the schools assessments and an individualized education program placement service.
The teacher will collaborate with other service providers in order to formulate a strength based portrait of the child, their emerging skills and specific support needs..
Consult with school administration, counselors or other teachers to call professionals for parent training activities if necessary
Contact and consult with other deaf/blind specialists during the initial assessment and transition
Consult with the family about their hopes and expectations
