  - - - each parents are entitled to 6 days of paid childcare leave per year, until the child reaches 7 years.

    - - Employee has informed employer beforehand in a time period of within 48 hours of his/her absence.
      - Employee has served the employer for at least 3 continuous months.
    - - Certified unfit for work by a medical practitioner registered under the Medical Registration Act or Dental Registration Act.
    - - Quarantined under any written law.
      - Warded in a hospital as an in-patient or a day surgery.
      - Certified by a medical practitioner who is allowed to admit patients into an approved hospital, including medical practitioners from national specialty centres and ambulatory surgical centres.
    - - Employee that worked 6 months or more: qualifies for full entitlement of 14 days paid sick leave and 60 days paid hospitalisation leave.
      - 60 days of paid hospitalisation leave includes the 14 days of paid sick leave.
      - Employees that worked less than 6 months: Paid sick leave is pro-rated according the employee length of service to employer.
