REPRODUCTION IN PLANTS
TO FORM A SEED
- pollen is produced in the anther
- the pollen is deposited on the stigma. The transfer of pollen is known as pollination.
- the pollen grain develops into a long tube called the pollen tube
- this tube grows down through the style to the ovary and into the egg
- in the ovary, the egg is inside a structure known as the ovule. The male gametes passes down the pollen tube to join the female gamete in the ovule.

REPRODUCTION IN GENERAL
REPRODUCTION- is the process by which parents produce new individuals. these individuals are called offspring.
SEXUAL REPRODUCTION- happens when a sperm from a male enters an egg from a female and fertilises it. sperm and eggs are reproductive cells known as gametes.
CELL DIVISION AND GAMETES- cells divide and split into two this process is called mitosis. in meiosis each gametes splits into four cells, all different to another.
