- - - - Democracy is a system for the people to vote for the people who they want to control there government
    - - Participating in important social events like the election for the prime minister
    - - The concept of justice is understanding the rule of the law and its application
    - - Following the responsibilities to understand our rights
    - - The Westminster is made up of the Queen, Governor-General, Senate and the house of representatives
    - - So that people have the freedom of speech and other things like allowing people to follow their religion
  - - - State looks after the state school and water
    - - Local looks after local parks and roads
    - - Federal look after the whole country like the defence and taxes
- - - - We must keep the government separate so that not only one person gets all of the power and that the government does not become corrupt

        In the year of 1999 the government asked Australia if they wanted to become a republic
        
        The votes were 54% voted yes and 46% voted no. The referendum fail because the government did not tell the people of Australia how the system is going to run
      - Successful Referendum In 1967
        
        In the year of 1967 people in Australia wanted to change the constitution so that the indigenous people are included in the constitution
        
        The Results were 90% of the country vote yes
