It prevents the government from placing troops in private homes
A example would be a soldier would not be able to walk in and make the people inside the home care for he/she.

It prevents the government from unreasonable search and seizure of the propetry of US citizens.
A example would be a police officer cant arrest someone of they think that they have done something illegal, they have to have proof.
This gives people the right to to choose not to testify in court if they feel their own testimony will incriminate themselves.
A example of this would be if a person knew he/she was guilty, and wanted to go to jail for punishment, then they could pleed guilty.

It would give someone a speedy trial, a fair jury, and a attorney if one the accused wanted one

This gives all powers not specifically given to the United States government in the constitution, to either the states or to the people.
A example would be traffic laws, collectiing taxes, and issuing lisences.
This states that the list of rights described in the constitution is not axhuastive, and that the people still have the rights that are not listed
A example would be a person has all the rights that are not listed in the constituion, and the ones that are listed in the constitution.
This prohibits excessive bail, excessive fines, and cruel and unusual punishments
A example would be that a judge is not alloed to put a fine of 1 million dollars because they littered.
