(example) "Macey" has the right to freedom of speech when she express her opinion of liking cats more than dogs.

People have the right to have and keep weapons so that they can use them as defense if needed.
(example) "Mary" has the right to not shelter a British troop if they do not have her permission.
People can decide whether they want to shelter troops in their private homes without the government making them.
(example) Police have to give a good reason (probable cause) to a judge to get a search warrant before they can go through your house, car, etc.
Government cannot search through people's things or take things away from people for no probable cause.
(example) A witness (Jerry) will not go to the stand and give his testimony because he feels that any statements made may be used against him or make a bad impression of him to the jury.
People have the right to not testify in court if they think that it might make themselves appear guilty.
(example) In Smith vs. Hooey, 1969, the defendant was in a federal prison when he was charged with a Texas crime. He had the right to a speedy trial.
Defendant has right to a fair trial, a impartial jury, and legal council.
Protects rights of the citizens to have a trial on a non-criminal case (civil cases).
Right that states punishment must be fair, and fines that are large cannot be set.
(example) Charging 1,000 for a seatbelt ticket.
(example) People have the right to travel.
People have many more rights that are not listed in the Constitution.
Building and maintaining roads and schools is an example of a state power not listed in the Constitution.
Defines the balance of power between the Federal Government and the states. .
(example) Pepsi Cola Company suing the Coca Cola Company in the 1980's due to their name being slandered.
