        Mrs. Ramsay and two of her children are "killed off" in the confines of a pair of brackets.
        
        Does this belittle the worth of their lives?
        
        does this belittle death? Refusing to give it power?
        
        The contents of 10 years are riddled off like the contents of a history textbook, matter of fact.
        
        Textbooks are centered on the past, they do not relate to the now, for how could they, the now is always changing and moving... You can therefore never be connected to reality by narriatoring life in the confines of your past --> The Ramsay family is disconnected from reality.
  - - - how much time passes?
      - Why do they need to come back to the beach home?
        -->Their escape from war, from the troubles of their time?
