The pit and the pendulum
A man was trapped by the Spanish Inquisition
He explored his prision and he was so hungry that he found some bread and water and ate them but there was something that make his sleep deply some hours
when he woke up he realize he was tied to a wooden platform by a single long leather belt. Then he get asleep again
When he woke up again he saw meat and water. He drunk all the water and later he saw some rats try to to eat his meat.
He day a day saw that the pendulum was going down and then he tought that at some point the pendulum will cut the belt and he will be free but he realize that the pendulum will kill him
Then he had a great idea: He would rubbed the piece of meat in the belt and the rats will cut the belt and it functioned. He escape. But he still was trapped.
He realize that the walls were hot and they were moving towards him so he knew that the only exit was to fall in the pit.
Then he hard voices he was going to fall but he fell that an arm caught him. It was a French general and she helped him to get out of there
