Cause: Banks shut down because people weren't paying back their loans so banks were liquidating money
Effect: This made banks close down and many people lost money that were saved in that bank and led to deflation
Cause: Farmers over farmed the soil and took all the nutrients out of the ground so it wasn't usable and turned to dust and there was a massive wind storm and drought
Effect: People all around the nation felt the impact of the dust bowl because food became scarce and very expensive so people couldn't afford food

Effect: People were able to recover from the depression and could get food for their families and survive

Effect: The US was pulled out of the depression because people were working in factories to create planes, tanks, and warships for the war effort.
Cause: World War 2 was caused by the uprising of Nazism in Germany because of Hitler and he started to attack countries around Germany
Cause: Factories and farmers were producing more goods than people could afford to buy so prices went down
Effect: Farmers had to burn whole fields because it cost more to harvest than to sell which led to a lack of food
