MB goes to Lady MB
Lady MB states she isn't happy, and MB states how he can't sleep and is paranoid, MB is jealous of Duncan because he can sleep well and MB cannot. MB is also worried about Banquo.

Banquo is murdered
MB hired two murderers to kill Banquo. Banquo ends up dead and they try to get his son Fleance, but he escapes.

The Banquet
MB holds a banquet and proposes a toast to Banquo since he didn't show up. MB ends up seeing the ghost of Banquo, and no one else can see him. All of the lords think he is insane, they dismissed the party and MB asks where Macduff is, and decides to go to the witches to get more information.

Event: MB writes a Letter to Lady MB stating what is going on and his emotions for her, and how he may be dubbed King.
why
MB writes a letter to Lady MB stating he might become king, and his love for her, and he hates he's away from her while she's going through a hard time of losing her child. Her reaction was he's too kind, she feels more ruthless, and she's going to talk him into something, possibly the murder of the king. And manipulate his emotions.

Duncan Arrives
Duncan thinks their castle is neat, he doesn't precieve danger when its near, and he has many enemies. Duncan is also getting to old and trusting, by the fact that he has many enemies from that issue.

Ross, Macduff and Malcolm meet in England
Macduff tells Malcolm they need him in Scotland because MB is now ruler. Malcolm first believes Macduff is a spy sent by MB, Malcolm states he'd be a worse king than MB.

MB goes to the witches
The witches ask if MB wants to hear the info from them or the devil himself. MB requests the devil and was given 3 new predictions. He is told beware Macduff. No one will harm MB, and he won't be vanquished until the forest (Birnham wood) comes for him.
Event: Ross, Malcolm, and Macduff meet in England
why
Macbeth tries to leave when he gets angry, and Malcolm believes him, Ross then shows up to tell him that his family has been murdered.
