Gatsby bribes Nick , Gatsby asks nick if he could have daisy over for tea and if he could join them in hopes of daisy falling back in love with him. when Gatsby asks Nick, he's offering him a plethora of things "lets go to Coney Island, old sport. In my car."... "well suppose we take a plunge the swimming pool?"(Fitzgerald, 82) He uses Nick as a way to get to Daisy. Later when Daisy agrees to go to tea Gatsby makes sure that the lawn gets cut and sends over supplies " the flowers were unnecessary, for at two o'clock a green house arrived from Gatsby's."
