Repurposing is the process by which an object with one use value is transformed or redeployed as an object with an alternative use value. Different from recycling where the object is usually broken down and then re-shaped or re-created into another item, re-purposing often takes some creativity and ingenuity.
WHY? The Circular Economy offers all of us the opportunity to redesign products and services so that they are more sustainable, equitable, and effective at meeting our humans needs without creating negative consequences to the planet.
