Using a MV/ trailer in a Dangerous Condition
A person uses, causes or permits another to use a motor vehicle or trailer on a road when
The conditions of the vehicle or trailer or its accessories or equipment were in a dangerous condition
The purpose for which it was used is dangerous
The number of passengers carried by it or the manner in which they are carried is dangerous
The weight, position or distribution of its load, or the manner in which is secures, is such that the use of the MV or trailer involves a danger of injury to any person.

Tyres - Legal Requirements
Must be suitable for road use
Must be correctly inflated
Cannot have a cut over 25mm or 10% of the section width of the tyre; whichever if greater - measures in any direction on the outside of the tyre
Cannot have a lump, bulge or teat
Cannot have the ply or cord exposed.
Exhaust
Every vehicle propelled by an internal combustion engine shall be fitted with an exhaust system including a silencer
Exhaust gases from the engine shall not escape into the atmosphere first without passing through the silencer

Wearing of Seatbelts
As a general rule if a seatbelt is fitted for a particular seat, it must be worn. For example anyone aged 14 or over this means;
When travelling in the front of the car they must wear the belt
When travelling int he back of the car they must wear the belt
For children under 14, the rule is more complex,
