General Edward Braddock
His road crosses what is now West Virginias Eastern Panhandle. He sent a troop of around 2,400 British soldiers and he used his road to deliver supplies.
John & Samuel Pringle-
They lived in what is now Upshur County.They deserted the army and found a place to hideout. In 1769, they led a group of settlers to permanently settle in Buckhannon Valley.
William Pitt
He was appointed to take charge in the war.He poured money and supplies into the war effort and quickly saw some positive changes.

Chief Logan
In about 1770, he moved his family to the Ohio River ValleyWhen a band of frontiersmen led by Daniel Greathouse slaughtered a group including members of Logan’s family near Yellow Creek on April 30, 1774, Logan abandoned peaceful ways.
Point Pleasant-
There was a battle of Point Pleasant in 1774. It was between Virginians led by Andrew Lewis and Shawnee led by Cornstalk.

Fort Henry
It was constructed in the summer of 1774 on the Ohio River, near the mouth of Wheeling Creek.The fort was attacked twice by Indians during the Revolutionary War.The first attacks on the fort was during the early mornings of September.
Fort Donnally
It was the scene of one of the largest Revolutionary War battles in Western Virginia. Between 50 and 300 Wyandot and Mingo indians attacked it.
Fort Duquesne
The attack here was part of a large scale British expedition with 6,000 troops.The french captured many settlers here.
