Aldevron’s Quality Control and ASDS departments currently employ paper-based systems to capture sample tracking, storage, and reporting of laboratory data/results. Our goal is to implement a standard computerized program that will allow tracking of lot status, data, sample custody, and retrieval of information regarding, but not limited to, all aspects of testing conducted within the QC laboratories. This will help provide computer-based efficiency to the large amount of data handled by QC. LIMS will capture the progress of in-house and outsourced Quality Control testing of manufactured material, stability programs, additional materials provided by clients, environmental and water monitoring testing within the GMP-QC laboratories at the Aldevron Fargo site supporting GMP and GMP-Source service levels. In addition, the implementation of a Laboratory Execution System (LES) software will provide guidance to QC analysts while testing. Forms will be encapsulated into LES such that each step of QC testing procedure is recorded thereby eliminating paperwork record generation. LES will check the status of materials and reagents identifying expiration dates and equipment status, which will better streamline QC testing. More accurate turnaround times for reporting results will enhance both internal and external customer experiences.
