Leed Certification
For obtaining the certificate the building most accomplished at least these five categories which are; Sustainable sites (SS), Water saving (WE), Energy and atmosphere (EA), Materials and Resources (MR) and Environmental Quality of the Interiors (IEQ). An additional category, Innovation in Design (ID). In Mexico, they are 329 buildings with LEED certification and 678 in the process of certification.
1. How is the certificate obtained?
Must be in a permanent location on existing land.
Must comply with project size requirements
Must use reasonable LEED boundaries.
Minimum program requirements
The number of points earned by the project determines the level of LEED certification and they are four types of certificates. The steel giant applied for the LEED NC; LEED for New Construction and right now has the LEED Silver Certificate.
40 to 49 points - LEED Certified
50 to 59 points - LEED Silver (Silver)
60 to 79 points - LEED Gold
80 or more points - LEED Platinum of the six priority credits.
How is it divided?
The certification process is carried out through the offices of consultants who act on advising the projects since the only agency authorized to grant LEED certification is the USGBC in the United States
How is it done?
The certification service is done completely online, through the USGBC website,
http://www.leedonline.com
. For this, the consulting body documents the necessary information and uploads it to the network.
Where is it done?
There is a base of 100 points; In addition to 6 possible points in Innovation in design and 4 points in Regional Priority. Regional credits are another characteristic of LEED through which the importance of local conditions in determining the best construction and environmental design practices is recognized.
Location and Transportation (16 points)
Sustainable sites (10 points)
Efficient Water Use (10 points)
Energy and Atmosphere (35 points)
Materials and Resources (14 points)
Indoor Environmental Quality (15 points)
Innovation in design (6 points)
Regional Priority (4 points)
Total: 100 basis points; 6 possible in Innovation in Design and 4 points in Regional Priority.
How is it measured?
It's the first stadium in Latin America to have this
LEED Silver certification
given by the USGBC.
The Steel Giant Leed Certification
1. Energy efficiency:
medium and low voltage installed equipment that can help you achieve up to 30% energy savings.
2. Intelligent building:
the stadium is able to intelligently manage its electrical installation and control the lighting systems.
3. Innovation and safety:
Schneider Electric's latest generation equipment was installed for the electrical infrastructure, providing total security against the most extreme limitations.
4. Sustainability:
installed electrical distribution products are also totally environmentally friendly and 100% recyclable.
5. Operation:
the energy solutions are modular and compact, and can be integrated into energy management and control systems to ensure safe, optimal and efficient operation, with a useful life of more than 30 years.
