The tools could be different based on what they were used for.They could be bigger or smaller or more complex.
While the middle stone age was happening Early ancestors found new ways to use bones for there own purpose.
Early people learned to adapt to there environment with different types of tools.

Fire was a huge discovering in the Mesolithic era, but it didn't do all that they wanted.
They also took in to caves for shelter but if they migrated in places with out caves to keep them warm they would build there own.
They were very desperate so they taught themselves how to sew animal skins together to keep warm
There were pit houses which were made out of holes in the ground with certain leaves and things to hold it together. There were also houses outside of the ground made of Mammoth bones, clay wood and animal furs
1.6 million years ago Early ancestors began to experience long freezing periods in time.
During this time called the ice age Huge sheets of ice lay cold across most of the earths surface.
Many places that are now covered with water were dry land then.
