Circulatory System
-
What is in the blood?
-
-
-
-
Plasma: Consists of nutrients, waste and carbon dioxide
Blood Pathway
Deoxygenated Blood enters the heart through the right atrium through to the right ventricle and is pumped to the lungs to become oxygenated
Oxygenated Blood then enters the heart through the left atrium through to the left ventricle to be pumped to the rest of the body

Veins and Arteries

-
-
-
-
Veins:
Carry blood back to the heart to be pumped else where. Veins contain one-way valves to avoid blood from going back
Excretory System
Definition
Responsible for removing waste from the body such as Carbon Dioxide, Water, Salt and Nitrogen Waste (Urea)
-
Words
Reabsorbtion
As the filterate flows through the renal tube, most of the water and nutrients are reabsorbed into the blood.
-
Filteration
-
That's where water, salt, glucose, amino acids and urea are filtered from the body
