-
Frontal Lobe
involved with motor functions, concentration, decision making, & personality.

Spinal Cord
Spinal cord nerves
Plexuses
-
-
Brachial plexus
gives innervation to the upper back, shoulder, arms, and hand.
Sacral plexus
gives innervation to the back of the thigh, leg, bottom of the foot, as well as the pelvis
-
Lower Spinal nerves
-
Sciatic nerve
Innervate pelvis and muscles that move the hip, thigh, and leg
-
Femoral nerve
innervates the legs ; principal function is to carry instructions to the muscles that straighten the leg, such as the quadriceps
Common fibular nerve
Innervates the muscles of the anterior compartment of the leg; tibialis anterior, extensor digitorum longus and extensor hallucis longus

-
Ventral Root
bundle of motor neurons that leaves the anterior side of the spinal cord to travel to muscles and glands.
White Matter Tract
columns of myelinated axons on outer surface of spinal cord, surrounds gray matter horns.
GRAY Matter
contains neuron cell bodies, dendrites, & unmyelinated axons
-
Ventral Gray Horn
contains the cell bodies of motor neurons traveling to skeletal muscles ; located in the gray mater ; anterior in spinal cord.
