SMS is a texting service that comes with a phone. It can be used all the time on a phone as long as you pay.

advantages: Easy for anyone to use to text friends or call.

disadvantages: would be the cost of it if you are on a pay as you go plan.

Email is a system run by many internet and email providers. Is used often by all forms of industry from school teachers to the big boss of a company.

advantage: send emails to multiple people at once. Can send images and attachments or even hyperlinks.

disadvantages: would be the lack of much security. This was seen when hillary clinton's emails were leaked.

Messaging software is usually an app that you can use to talk to each other like skype or whatsapp. This can be used by anybody if you know how to.

advantages: would be ease of use and the free nature of the software.

Disadvantages: have to download it yourself and doesn't come with the device unlike SMS

Social network/social is a way to create and share content. Can be a good way to advertise businesses. Can also talk with friends for free.

advantage: Can advertise business, is free.

disadvantages: would be the access to literally anyone in the world from the palm of your hand as anybody can contact you.

VoIP

VoIP stands for Voice over Internet Protocol that acts like a phone service through the internet.

Advantages: Cheaper

Disadvantages: If the internet goes down it is unusable.

personal assistants (e.g. Siri, Cortana)

Personl assistants Listens to the voice command set by the company. Can do a google search just by speaking.

advantage: Can access commands from anywhere inside the room. Faster than typing and searching it up manually.

disadvantages: would be it’s listening to your every conversation

Teleconference

Teleconference is used by businesses to talk and make deals over the phone.

advantages: the ability to talk and connect to other locations for conferences.

Disadvantages: No personal interactions, may be difficult to set up setup.

Video conference

Videoconference is similar to teleconference but can have a visual connection between different locations

Advantages: Increases productivity.

Disadvantages: No personal interactions, may be difficult to set up setup.

cellular and satellite

Cellular phones transmit using land based towers.

Advantages: Get get connection over a wide area
