      - SI Unit of stored energy is Joule (J) when capacitance, C is in Farad (F) , the potential difference , V is in volts and total charge (Q) in coulomb.
    - - in this, a resistor is connected in series to the capacitor and the battery used for charging.
      - as the capacitor charges, voltage of capacitor increases while potential difference of resistor decreases thus decreasing the current as well.
      - when capacitor is fully charged, the current in circuit is zero. The voltage across the resistor is also zero and the entire emf is across the capacitor.
