MEETING EXPECTATIONS
12 Students have answered the question with some grammatical errors and an understanding of the question. Their written ability shows growth and vocabulary usage that adds to their knowledge and supports the answers
The students will be a given various topics preapproved by the teacher and then research the topic and create a scripted oral presentation to the class.
EXCEEDING EXPECTATIONS
5 Students have answered the question with minimal to no grammatical errors and a deep understanding of the question. Their written ability shows growth and strong vocabulary usage that adds to their knowledge and supports the answers.
assessment ; the students will choose a topic and have it approved by the teacher and then create a scripted movie or video. there will be weekly check-ins and journals detailing their journey of discovery

SPECIAL NEEDS/ EMERGING STUDENTS
2 Students have not answered the question.They show no understanding of the question. Their written ability shows little vocabulary usage that and no support for the answers
Assessmet will be to write 1-3 paragraphs on one area of the topic in the medium f their choice i.e. computer document or written as well as provide a descriptive picture that represents the topic.
ELL/ DEVELOPING STUDENTS
3 Students have answered the question with many grammatical errors and a superficial understanding of the question. Their written ability shows little growth and weak vocabulary usage that confuses their knowledge and/or doesn't supports the answers
The students will be guided in the research of a topic given by the teacher using new vocabulary words and then write a short essay discussing the topic. extra credit if they include a Prezi moving mind map
FINAL ASSESSMENT
MEETING EXPECTATIONS
12 Students who are meeting expectations shall have the added task of a scripted oral presentation to be delivered and video taped in class.
ELL/ DEVELOPING STUDENTS
3 students who are ELL/ Developing students shall write a short essay discussing one area of the subject in a more detailed manner using vocabulary provided by the teacher and found in the subject matter. For extra Credit the students can create a Prezi Moving mind map to help explain their answer.
EXCEEDING EXPECTATIONS
5 Students who are exceeding expectations will have an added task to complete for their final assessment. They shall post a scripted video explaining the subject matter to the whole class.
SPECIAL NEEDS/ EMERGING STUDENTS
2 Students who have a Learning disability/ Emerging students will write 1-3 short paragraphs using the new vocabulary words provided by the teacher and draw a picture that will be a descriptive representation of the subject matter.
TASK Students to write their complete thoughts and ideas about the subject discussed in class. Create an outline for a research topic based on subject matter.
Special Note
Students who are special need or Learning disability and Emerging students will have more time to finish the project with scheduled check-ins with the teacher to make sure that they are on task and use the correct words.
The teacher shall provide a schedule of specific dates and times for the check-in and write feedback comments for the students of all varying levels.
Class Preparation
Teacher will prepare the Entrance ticket answer sheet for all the students. Make the accommodations for digital technological assistance for the Students with Learning disabilities and emerging students.
