Once charge meter is full gives the medic and his target invincibility for 20 seconds, once finished, charge meter will be depleted but can be recharged, if Medic dies he will lose all charge, overheal gives target a 150% health boost, if overhealed stops being healed from Medic,target will loose overheal and will eventually go back down to 100% base health
