3 students out of 5 showed little use of business terminology, their essay was mainly theoretical from the book with no application, they stated pros and cons without explanation, showing very weak and short sentences. 2 students were unable to comprehend the text or relate to the syllabus, they copied the text with no evaluation or analysis.
Developing students require foundational training on how to use the stimulus given, so they will be given simpler text to practice on, easier and shorter essay structure to follow.
Special needs students will require content review and practice first, and then practice their knowledge on easier case studies.
Advanced
5 students were able to evaluate the business growth strategy, using proper essay format, right use of business terminology, and have a substantiated balanced argument, while using reference from the stimulus.
These students need to be challenged to develop their higher level critical thinking and so they will be given more advanced longer case studies to practice on, maybe with different business strategies to analyze and evaluate
They are required to start developing longer essays according to the case needs and requirements, using proper business terminologies, reference, and balanced substantiated arguments
intermediate
12 students were able to extract reference from the case, have some business terminology used, had a balanced argument but not substantiated.
These students need more practice on terminologies and developing critical thinking skills, they can be put in heterogenous group work with advanced students to analyze cases and learn from them, they will be given a list of terminologies to practice with, and constant feedback on their work.
They are required to start developing 4 paragraph essay, with proper terminology and some attempt of substantiated arguments.
Final Assessment
Advanced
These students are required to write a 4 paragraph essay, they will be evaluated on their proper use of business terminology, having a balanced substantiated arguments, and effective use of the stimulus.
Intermediate
These students will be asked to write a 4 paragraph essay as well, their focus will be using business terminology and having a balanced argument with good use of the stimulus. They will be given a list of business terminologies that they can use when appropriate along with an essay structure to follow (Intro+ Body: made of 2 pros with reference and 2 cons with reference + Conclusion)
Developing
Those students will be asked to write a 3 paragraph essay with no conclusion, the aim is to focus on the balanced argument. they will be also given a list of business terminologies, and an essay structure to follow (Intro + Body: 1 pro and 1 con with reference)
