3- Select Method, Media and Material
-
5- Require Learner Participation
Active participation enhances the learning process. That's why it is important to encourage students to participate as much as possible.
-
6- Evaluate and Revise
Evaluate learners in order to determan that whether or not they met the objectives and match the aimed outcomes
Evaluate your media and material to see that if they were effective and efficient. Did they motivate the students or meet their interest?
Most importantly evaluate yourself and revise everything to see have you managed to achieve your goal? Are you satisfied with the materials and results? How did students react to your methods and materials? If there is a problem go back to very beginning and plan everything more carefuly.
4- Utilize Media and Materials
Preview your materials before the class in case of there are inappropriate things. And also, make sure that everything works and you know how to use them and just in case always have a plan B.
Prepare the environment according to your media and material. Simulate it if you need. Some material may require certain things such as dark room, different sitting plan, etc.
Prepare the learners with a warmup that includes introduction of the material, what is the relation with topic, how they can use it, etc.
While using instructional technologies and media, it is crucial to plan lessons carefully, use instructional media and technologies effectively and systematically. The ASSURE Model is a guide for planning lessons and using instructional media and technologies effectively and systematically.
