- - - - Hick argues to defend this belief. Hick is a monist who belueves in psychomatic unity, the belief that when you die, both the body and soul dies, and then both are raised by God. Hick agrees that we will be resurrected in a perfect replica with the same identity.

        Not the same person these God created Replicas would all believe themselves to be original but they would have different conciseness.
        
        As Hick is a monist -not a dualist- so Mr X is not a body that possess conciousnes, but the mind-body unity would mean that the conciousness is insperable to Mr X's body so there can only be one version of Mr X at one time. This explains why Mr X can never be coppied.
        
        Why couldn't God create more than one version of the replica?
        
        If the mind-and soul and linked to each other, wouldn't God making a perfect replica of someone in the afterlife mean that their consciousness would be different as their physical form has changed -this would mean that the person would have a different identity.
        
        God is omnipotent, so natural rules do not restrict him. Ergo, bodily resurrections are logically possible. this still fails to full explain this problem.
