Design and layout

White Space: The positioning of objects on a design. The space may not necessarily be white, it’s just the given and used name
Composition: The activity of the positioning of the various objects in a photo or image. Photographers may aim to create a pleasing and visual balance of the elements in their photo. They do this via careful composition. Composition is largely linked to photography.
-
Active White Space: Where you actively place a object. This will be your focal point on your design. (Focal point is where your eyes are naturally drawn to).
Types of Graphics
Vector Graphic: The creation of digital images through a sequence of commands. Graphics are created from points, lines, shapes and curves that are based from mathematical formulas. They’re independent of resolution and they don’t use pixels. They maintain crisp edges when resized without any loss of quality. They can be converted to bitmap images for further editing
Bitmap: Bitmap/Raster graphics use pixels, they’re produced by digital cameras or scanners and they’re the most common type of file for any graphic. They’re a mix of red, green and blue. There is a limit to how far they can be enlarged or viewed at a high magnification.
