include anything in nature that people value
air, water, fossil fuels, plants, and animals are natural resources
plastics are not natural resources
there are two types which are renewable and none renewable
reducing, reusing, and recycling helps to conserve our resources.
Climate change (aka global warming)
global warming is the average temperature of the earth.
global warming is caused by gasses that trap heat
earth gets warmer naturally, but this is happening a lot faster
humans burning fossil fuels is putting more greenhouse gases in the atmosphere
trees remove carbon dioxide so we need to plant more trees
global warming is causing bad weather and diseases but we can still fix the problem.
humans should use less fossil fuels and more renewable resources
population growth
earth can only hold a certain amount of people
about 200 years ago the human population increased by a lot.
more people on earth is using up our resources faster
in ten years there will be more than 8 billion people on earth
recycling can reduce how much resources are being used
soil
soil is a mix of rocks water and dead stuff
weathering breaks rocks into small pieces (sediments)
Erosion moves the sediments to other places
More humus helps the plants grow
soil has different layers and the stop layer has the most humus
plants can not grow in bedrock so we must take care of the top soil
air pollution
air pollution can come from different places such as cars
Burming fossil fuels realises poisness gases such as co2
air pollution can mis with clouds to acid rain
air pollution can cause cancer and global warming
ozone when its up high protects from the sun but becomes poisonous when its near us
cows release methane which is a greenhouse gas.

greenhouse gases such as co2 trap heat on the earth
without the greenhouse gases earth would be too cold to live on
too many greenhouse gases can cause global warming

the 3 things you can do to help the environment is conserving, cleaning up, and chiming in
in the last 200 years human have greatly impacted the enviornment
during the industrial revolution, there was more people and more population
using nonrewnable resources cause a lot of pollution and will eventually run out.
for our survival, we need to do things to help the enviorment
