sustainability of natural resources
conserving energy
fossil fuels
recycling
solar energy
natural resources
anything in nature that people value
air water fossil fuels plants and animal are natural resources
plastic is not a natural resource
there are two types which hare renewable and non renewable
reducing reusing and recycling will conserve our resources
climate change
global warming is about the temperature of the earth
the earths temperature is increasing faster than normal
global warming is caused by more green house gases
the gases trap the heat on heart (green house gases)
people using fossil fuels is producing more carbon dioxide
trees can remove some carbon dioxide
climate change is causing more bad weather and diseases, but we can fix the problem by conserving our recourse
population growth
earth can only hold a certain ammount of people
about 200 years ago there was a great increase in the number of humans
more people causes more pollution and resources being used up faster
in about 10 years there will be more than 8 billion people on earth
soil
soil is a mix of water rocks and dead stuff
weathering breaks rocks into small pieces called sediments
erosion moves the sediments to different places
rocks and humus help plants to grow
soil has different layers and the top soil has the most humus
plants cannot grow in bedrock so we must protect the top soil
air pullution
air pollution can be caused by fires and lots of smoke
green house gases
humans and their environment
using nonrenewable resources such as plastic is causing a lot of pollution
humans can do things to help the environment because we need to survival
during the industrial revolution human population increased greatly and caused lots of pollution
for the last 200 years humans have greatly impacted the environment
the 3 ways to help the environment are conserving , chiming in and cleaning up
