Data Collection
Information such as the users name, house, year level and email will be collected and stored along with other information such as what events they have or are going to participated in. All of this will be stored in an SQL data base
-
Process
The user will create an account then login in. Once complete the user should be able to access calendars, events, roles, etc depending on their status. once finished the user can log out.
Boundaries
Boundaries will be put in place to limit the users choices and freedom when imputing data to prevent mistakes or unwanted values. Examples are submitted data, types of data submitted and what data has to be submitted
Security
All user inputs will be "sanitised" to prevent harmful code injections. This will be done using stripslash and trim functions with a filter on special characters. All sensitive information such as passwords will be encrypted.
User Accesibility
User Support
The program will be designed with simplicity in mind with the goal of making the user experience as easy to understand as possible. All processes are planned to be on the one page allowing the user to focus on all necessary tasks without changing pages. However, any issues the user may have contact information will be provided for them to seek assistance
Design
Accessibility
Clearly labelled button as well as easy to read text will be used to help aid users who may have a visual impairment
-
Usability
The user base of the program are generally considered able and moderately technologically literate. This shall be considered when designing the layout following similar design principles of current programs
View
Organiser
The Organiser view has a more functionality on each pages being able to create events, edit events and also delete events as well as all other functionality of the student view.
Admin
The Admin view has the most access being able to edit user information and promote students to organiser view, they also have all the functionality of the organiser view.
Stundet
The Student view has limited access being able to travel to most pages yet only having limited functionality. Students will only be able to view chosen events, other events and choose new events
Hardware/devices
Platform
The program will equally support computer and tablet-based traffic as it is conceivable that both platforms will be equally favoured, though this is determined by where the user is accessing the program (away or at school) which should be taken into account when designing certain pages (pages hat will be used most often when away from school). Bootstrap will help in supporting both programs
