Audience appreciation: It is important to consider the audience who will either use or take part in the solution
Factors should be considered:
The expectation of the audience
The experiences of the audience
The knowledge of the audience
The age of the target group
Ways to find out about the target audience
Giving out questionnaire
Interviewing target group
Carrying out a market research
Key factors when writing presentations:
Length of presentation: A very young audience will easily get bored and start become restless
Interactive presentation: Be aware that that not everyone wants to take part during a Q&A session
Multimedia used: Using sound, video and animation will catch the audience's attention
Examples used: It needs to be understanding and interesting at the same time
Language used: No vulgarity and inappropriate language. This can offend people
Legal, moral, ethical and cultural appreciation
Software copyright and privacy: It is protected by copyright laws in the same way as music CDs videos and articles from magazines and books are protected
It is illegal to:
- Make a software copy and then sell it or give it away to friends or colleagues
- Use a software on a network or in multiple computers unless a license has been acquired to allow this happen
- Rent out a software package without permission from the publishers
- Use the name of copyrighted software on other software without agreement to do so
How software is protected:
- The user will be asked to key in a unique reference number which was supplied with the original copy of the software
- The user will be asked to click OK to agree to the license agreement before the installing progress continue
- Some software will only run if a dongle is plugged into one of the USB ports
- Some software will only run if the CD-ROM, DVD-ROM or memory stick is actually in the drive

- Legal covers the law whether an action is punishable by law
- Morality governs the private and personal interactions between people and is usually determined by the person concerned
- Ethics governs professional interactions like codes of behaviour practised by a group of people
- Culture refers to the attitudes, values and practices shared by a society
