Contrast between the 2 characters reveals a lot about each other and the play as a whole. Both have lost their father due to a circumstance that calls for revenge. Hamlet goes about this revenge as thinking about the revenge and trying to make the perfect plan, whilst Fortinbra is a man of action and tries to right the wrongs

Hamlet allegedly pretends to be mad throughout the play in order to make Claudius unerestimate him in order to kill him and to punish them for their deeds, however this seems to become apart of Hamlet so it is difficult to tell if Hamlets madness is due to antic disposition or part of him .
