"...because it did not shut the doors of my mother's womb, and hide trouble from my eyes. Why did I not die at birth, come forth and expire?" (3:10-11)
vs.
"Or who shut in the sea with doors when it burst out from the womb? - when I made the clouds its garment, and thick darkness its swaddling band, and prescribed bounds for it, and set bars and doors, and said, 'Thus far shall you come, and no farther, and here shall your proud waves be stopped'?" (38:8-11)
God did not shut the door of the womb for the sea, but he could have, since he commands the sea. Job is less powerful than the sea, yet he dares to complain that he was born.
