Intensity, Relaxation, and Recovery (Chapter 6)
Intensity
-
For intense focus to be beneficial you have to focus on something positive. If you focus on garbage, you get garbage results
It is important to try to be as INTENSE as possible at the HARDEST POINTS. When you are struggling to lift that weight, or finish that run, your intensity needs to increase and you will get positive results
Relaxation
-
During moments of extreme physical exertion you can still stay "relaxed" and comfortable in your setting and achievements
-
Recovery
-
Recovering through deep breathing exercises, going to your happy place, or focusing on each of your muscles are all effective
Taking time to recover is essential in reducing stress and reinvigorating your energy
Choice
Choose to live a life that you want to live. This will BOOST your MOOD and make you feel MORE FULFILLED
LEAD your own DESTINY. You make your life what it is, so make it a good one
Choosing to believe in yourself will help you do better because you will believe that you can do better
Stress
With higher levels of intensity comes higher levels of stress. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
-
If you are STRESSED OUT it can be helpful to take a SHORT BREAK from your performance goals and go do something you ENJOY
Reflect on what made you stressed and how you can better avoid those situations or prepare for them in advance
