Dedicated Servers

Any user can use any server they have access to as long as they are connected to the switch/hub
Error Rates
Ethernet cables have a low error rate.
Wi-Fi has a high error rate.
Definitions/Terms
Latency – how long it would take the transmissions of data to get transferred to the chosen destination, whoever has the lowest latency will get served first.
Latency is measured in milliseconds.
Error Rate - how often errors occur, they might get corrupted or lost on a network whilst travelling between connections, they can be.
Useful Information
The PCs (that could be laptops, phones, tablets, anything that can connect) are all connected to the Switch, or also known as “Hub”, the switch is connected to the sever.
If the switch or server crashes, no one will be able to access their data.
If one of the nodes were connected to a local printer and only THEY would crash, no one will be able to access the printer
