Identify and help struggling students.

- Are they active and engaged in the class?
- Compare his scores (all areas).
Set up a meeting with the parent, special education teacher, principal and counselor.
- Discuss the challenges student finds in the class.
- Discuss the strategies used to help the student.
- Discuss with the parent the special Ed teacher's observation and the test that was taken.

Try different teaching strategies for the student. Link Title
- Allow opportunities for repetition and practice of previously introduced material.
Give the student the same work he did in the classroom and he can redo it with his family or maybe try to teach his younger siblings.

- Break down learning tasks into small steps. Each learning task is introduced, one step at a time.
For example if students are learning about correct sentences, you first ask the student to form capital letters, then punctuation last check sppeling.

- Set a learning environment where visual aids are used,
Provide educational videos, activities with pictures.

- wokr with the student in a small groups

- give extra work so parents can help them at home/ suggest tutoring.
- Provide the student extra tools.
In math for example, provide student number line or cubes.
