Is having emotional outbursts

Differentiate within the class
group with other students
offer more scaffolding/support in writing papers (offer an outline / graphic organizer)
do daily check-ins on progress on major assignments
Seat change
Define challenging vocabulary at the beginning of a reading
Offer another assessment form
Recommend changes outside of the class
Talk with parents
Talk about getting academic support in class from learning support team / teachers
Talk about getting a tutor
Work with a counselor
Talk with other teachers
Talk with student support team about creating an IEP
If more than three, and concerned about student's wellbeing
recommend to counselor for psychological evaluation
meet with student's other teachers to evaluate their progress in other subjects
Speak with parents immediately
Does not participate
Will not ask for help
