PE - occlusion of pulmonary artery by blood clot, most preventable death
RF: Old, obese female
CCF, cancer, surgery, childbirth
Polycythemia, OCP, 1º hypercoagulable state (ATIII, protein C def)

Day 2 - organization, fibroblast and capillary ingrowth

- Ghost of lung architecture (red=dead)
