1-Gaby goes to school and sneaks into the classroom to release live frogs. She is about to open her bag of them when Ollie bumps into her. She shoves him off and storms off down the hallway, as it is too late to release the frogs this block. In class, she starts to feel ill and heads to the office. On the way, she releases the frogs. She enters the office and is sent to the waiting room. She is staring at the light bulb, and then it blows up and sets itself on fire. She runs out of the room and hides in her locker. Meanwhile, it is lunch time, and Ollie is in the library. He is reading TO KILL A MOCKING BIRD. There is a flash of light somewhere in the school, and the fire alarm goes off. Instead of following his class, he investigates and finds a bill in the hallway that says: 100 live Darwin's frogs. Cost: $900.80 US.

2-Gaby opens her locker and finds Ollie standing outside with his back to her. She gets out, but while shutting the locker, he turns around and sees her. They talk and Ollie figures out that it was her bill. A distant voice starts to speak, and Gaby thinks that only she can hear it, before she realises that it is a megaphone calling for her and Ollie. They run over and get put into detention by Mr. Kandinsky for not being at the fire meeting place. Gaby is annoyed. At detention, she thinks about how she can get herself out of it. She stares at Ollie, and her right hand starts twitching. It glows white and Ollie lifts up into the air. Gaby lifts up too and the hands on the clock start to turn really fast. A yellow rope thing wraps around their arms, then dissapears. With a loud bang, they fall back into their seats, with Gaby unsure what she had done.

3-The next day, Ollie arrives at school, and is immediately hit to the floor by Leon Spencer. He teases him, but Ollie is overcome by a wave of calm, and walks past. In maths, he notices that Gaby won't stop figeting, so he makes a paper aeroplane and sends it to her. She opens it and looks over at Ollie. The bell rings and she pulls him into a nearby classroom. They talk, and figure out that the powers originated from Gaby's sickness. (it came from her negative emotions) How they came from that, they don't know. Suddenly, Leon's best friend, Zoe enters, and kicks them out as this is where Leon goes to study his 'homework'. They leave, and agree to meet after school at Gaby's.

4-Gaby is at home, and is tidying up her room, which has been filled with a lot of posters of famous magicians and comedians, and her favourite (girl) band, 3 step. The doorbell rings, and Gaby opens it to let Ollie in. They go to her room, which is now just walls covered in chalk from her chalk bomb fight with her dad, and talk. Gaby tries to do what she did the other day and fails. They end up talking about the upcoming exams, and Gaby admits to not studying. They have two weeks. Ollie offers to help her study, explaining that she'll have to repeat year 10. Gaby begrudgingly agrees, and they plan to meet at the school library every day before school. Ollie gets up to leave, but cuts himself on Gaby's desk. Gaby shout in surprise as the cut appears on her skin too. They are confused on how they both now have the cut, but Ollie guesses that it might have something to do with the weird yellow rope. They decide to leave this mystery for another day.

5-A WEEK LATER... Ollie and Gaby are studying French in the library. Gaby manages to pronounce Maisons de Verre (Glass houses), before the bell rings. In class, while Ollie is looking at Gaby, he starts to feel light and fluttery inside. The teacher asks him a question, and automatically responds with orange. (Correct) The day seems to drag on slowly, so after school Ollie is relieved. He goes over to Gaby's on an organised power afternoon, but finds her staring at her wrist when he enters her room with the key he is borrowing. Ollie asks her what is going on, and she looks up and says nothing, with a guilty expression. Suspicious, Ollie sits down and they start. (Mention what they are doing somewhere) They focus and they rope appears. Ollie brings his hand down on it and it starts to turn grey. Suddenly Gaby pulls out and the rope vanishes. They start arguing before Gaby kicks Ollie out into the rain. He walks home.

6-The next day, Gaby is concerned when Ollie doesn't turn up to school. So concerned that she stops smuggling Kerry slugs in. When he doesn't turn up for the next few days, she tries to focus on the rope, but it doesn't work. After school, she goes to Ollie's house, but he isn't there. While leaving his room, she finds a piece of paper with a message for her on it. It says:help....kidnapped.....old factory....Wednesday....before exams....Thursday. Gaby panics because today is Wednesday. She steals a knife from the kitchen and runs to the old factory at the edge of town. When she gets there, she finds the lights turned on, but the front door is blocked by stone. She goes round the back and enters, and is immediately thrown into darkness.

7-Gaby's hand turns black, and the darkness vanishes leaving Gaby in a plain white room, with holes in the walls and ceiling. She hears stomping and yelling upstairs, and she thinks she might be hearing music. She runs upstairs and is greeted by a huge yell of SURPRISE! Ollie runs up to her through the crowd of people, and reminds her of her birthday. She hits him saying that she was scared that he had been kidnapped and runs out. * Ollie runs out after her and finds her sitting outside on a step. He apologises, and she forgives him. They sit in silence, before Ollie awkwardly reveals his feelings for her. Gaby blushes, and admits she likes him too. Ollie blushes, and they sit together, before Gaby pulls up the topic of their 'powers'. They decide to stop trying to fracture to rope, and try to harness their strange ability's. Then they go back into the party.

Epilogue-ONE MONTH LATER... Gaby breaks the news that she passed to Ollie, and Ollie reveals that he had got tickets to see three step. Gaby is delighted, and on the night of the performance, at the end of the show when there are fireworks, they kiss
