Non-Verbal Queues: Stand next to him when off-task or place a slight hand on the shoulder when distracted

Data Tracking Tools
Card Flip Tracking Form
Each day or week the teacher will record the Card Flip Behavior Aid that displays green, yellow, orange and red. Each color represents a specific behavior. Positive (green) behavior would result in sending a note to his parents, acknowledging his improved behavior. Possibly motivating him to persue better classroom habits.

Tier 2
Interventions
Creating a specialized behavior contract for him. Discuss (with help from teaching assistant) that we understand the difficulties he has in the classroom and we can make a contract together that is tailored for us both.
Sensory Tools - Since he is always fidgeting with something, a balloon rice ball or stress ball would be an appropriate item to give him to prevent disruptions.
Teach Relaxation Techniques - As a lesson(s), I can teach the class some relaxation techniques. This student often gets emotional when he is asked to respect the rules. Allowing him some time to relax or take a break would help him to reset and refocus on the lesson.
Data Tracking Tools
Problem Behavior Survey
Teacher can track the student's behavior and reflect on any improvement in the student's social, emotional and academic learning.
Tier 3
Interventions
Behavior Meetings provide constant, updated, and relevant information for managing behavior in school, in English and Vietnamese.
Counselor referral if the student's behavior does not improve after the specialized behavior contract.
Individual and Visual Schedules to help him get organized. These schedules will be helpful to track what he needs to do and when he needs to do it.
Data Tracking Tools
Counselling Referral Form
At this stage, if the student isn't responding well to the contract and he still disrupts the class then the teacher will fill out a referral form to get the SEN teacher to observe the class and the student's behavior.
