Native American Key Terms
Charter
A written grant by a country's legislative or sovereign power, by which a body such as a company, college, or city is founded and its rights and privileges are defined.
Expedition
A journey or voyage undertaken by a group of people with a particular purpose, especially that of exploration, scientific study, or war.
Monopoly
The exclusive possession or control of the supply of or trade in a commodity or service.
Militia
A military force that is raised from the civil population to supplement a regular army in an emergency.
