The movie of the Patriot shows political, cultural, geographical and social factors. However, it does not show enough of the economical aspect of how the American War of Independence rose. The movie gives a clear idea of how it felt to be a patriot part of the militia and how the militia was formed. It also show how the militia functioned. Although it must be taken in consideration the fact that only one point of view was portrayed in the movie of The Patriot. Therefore, it does not allow us to rely fully on the entire plot and action taking place. Through this movie we can understand the life of a Patriot part of the militia at the time of the American War of Independence. Even though, as mentioned previously, we are not given substantial information to create an idea of the British soldiers’ and Parliament’s perspective.
