SYNOPSIS
More focused towards hiring People with Disability
Patanjali keshwani MD & founder of lemon tree had a vision of creating socially inclusive workforce
Lemon tree was built around the concept of profit planet & People.
In 2012 lemon tree formed an joint venture with netherland based pension fund APG
market value of Lemon tree becomes $500 milllion
Realised a dedicated resource was needed to focus exclusively on the initiative & Keshwani put lal in charge of the initiative
Their goal was to increase the share of ODI from 23% to 45%
3rd largest owner of hotel rooms in india with 3400 rooms & 3700 employees
RECOMMENDATION
They should go with option To cover more with disability type & sourcing more NGO's
Companies must design their growth policies.which will give chances to these people to work in a higher position
They shoould tie up with NGO's from tier 2 & cities who will recommend them more PwD
They should make their other employees be part of this initiative and support PwD People& who should feel that they are contributing positively to the society
PROBLEMS & CHALLENGES
To cover more types of disabilities or by continuing recruitment of PWD among other ODI's.
Difficult to find PwD candidate with a bachelor Degree
Inclusiveness and Non charity business model could pose challenges for other Employees
Many of their highly Performed PwD Employees were leaving the organisation
Lack of support from Families
No strong system of employment exchange and training partners
CASE ANALYSIS
They have managed to minimise its energy and staffing ratio to half of the industry range , this has help them to offer much higher return on capital investment to its share holders (55%)

They have moved beyond the benchmark of government sector with nearly 6% of position filled by PwD By 2015 it raised to 13 %
In 2015 only 13% of their employee were PwD and out of which 404 employees were from speech & hearing Impaired(Exhibit 1) physically handicapped people was not getting much more chances.
