- - - - Use communication boards.
      - Use speech recognition software. This allows students with limited mobility interact with ease.
      - Use academic software package for students with disabilities.
    - - Some buildings have automatic door opener to provide access to someone with orthopedic impairment.
      - Power wheelchairs and electronic wheelchair lifts make transportation possible for people with lower extremity impairment.
      - Use canes, walkers, manual wheelchairs for people with mobility impairment to go through daily activities.
  - - - Accommodations
        
        Classroom Set-up
        
        Assigned seating either close or away from the teacher.
        For example: Make lamination's of all the student's names, then place velcro on their desks. Place the names where you think it would be best for the student to sit that day because a student's work ethic can change from day-to-day.
        
        Flexible Seating devices. Such as wiggle chairs, standing desks, resistance bands on chairs

        Large working spaces. So children can spread out and not feel trapped.
        
        All rules and daily schedules should be posted where the students can constantly see it.
        
        Quiet working area.
        
        Organisation Skills
        
        Daily and Weekly Agenda books, to keep track of assignments that are due.
        
        Colour Coded Folders for subjects and homework
        
        Baskets or file organizers, so students can keep track of new handouts, finished work, and graded work. Here is an example of what I use in my classroom.
        
        Students or Aids that can help the student take notes.
        
        Giving Instructions
        
        Make sure to have different forms of instructions. Such as having it written down for them, have the students write the instructions in a notebook, and be sure to read the instructions out load.
        
        Use Visual aids and example assignments to help visual learners understand the instructions.
        
        Provide Rubrics, so that students know what specific things the teacher is looking for.
        
        Breaking Assignments and tests into smaller chunks.
        
        Having a quiz or very short test after each unit.
        
        Provide different types of questions on a quiz or test. For example multiple choice, true and false, fill in the blank with a word bank, and short essay questions.
        
        Don't always grade on academics. Also grade assignments on completion.
      - Assistive Technologies
        
        Using Computers, Apps, and tablets that can provide apps and programs to aid in the child's learning.
        
        Some apps that would be useful are ones that aid in time management, reading text out loud, spelling and grammar aid, and speak to text for note taking.         Many Technologies are the same for both these disabilities.
      - Interventions
        
        Have a structured classroom with set rules.

        Offer choices so the student feels like they have more freedom. Choice boards for assignments are a great way fo students to feel in charge while still staying on task.
        
        Interventions for both disabilities very simular to one another.
      - Many students with ADHD and Dyslexia have Emotional disturbance issues.
      - Students with ADHD and Dislexia have issues with developmental delays as sometimes their maturity levels can be two-three years behind their peers.
      - Students with ADHD and Dyslexia have a hard time spelling and hearing the pronunciation of words which can cause speech and language impairments.
    - - Accommodations: When accommodating a student with multiple disablities, the assesor needs to figure out which disablitites are involved.
        
        The assessor need to figure out how severe the disability is and if one disablity is more dominate than the other.
        
        How do these disabilities affect the child's everyday life? If the child (in this case) has ADHD and Dyslexia, the child might find reading and writing very difficult for them as their brain will not only want to wonder off but will cross letters and words that make it even more frustrating to the student.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WD4tNMaFyI

      - Assistive Technology

      - Interventions
        
        Provide choice assignments that involve pictures and text so that the student can visuize the assignment along with their reading.

      - Minimize exposure to computer screens
      - Use of reading software for textbooks/class materials
    - - Suggest student make an appointment with mental health counsellor or psychologist.

  - - - Match student with a tutor who can explain course concepts & assist breaking down large assignments into smaller, more manageable steps
    - - Provide access to speech-to-text software, a scribe, or keyboard and word processor for work requiring written response
