Evaluation
- Students are asked to give importance of figure of speech as method of communication. (5points)
- Students are asked to identify the type of figure of speech from the given sentences, to be answered in a 1/4 sheet of paper. (10 items).
Analysis
Prior knowledge: There are students know all the types of figure of speech but there are also students who are just familiar with the other types but know the common ones such as simile, metaphor, personification and hyperbole.
Implementation
- Teacher introduces the topic by showing related visuals

- Teacher asks students to practice by guessing the correct definition on the given term/questions.
- To make students provide, identify and explain the answers according to the given poems/sentences.

Environment
Government School, School Library , Visual Aids are provided. Class has 34 college students with a mixed section of 3rd year BSED BIO-SCI/TLE. Teacher assumes that students will have to cooperate since they already aware of the figure of speech from the previous studies.
Design
At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to;
- Identify the figures of speech used in the sentences/poems.
- Explain figures of speech used in the sentences/poems.
- Students will be able to give the importance of figure of speech as method of communication.
